Football
Around 200 teams from all over the world will be gathering together
in the Danish city of Aarhus to play football. From early morning
to late at night, all the pitches will be swarming with cheerful
youngsters between the ages of 8 and 19. Whether there will be
7 or 11 a-side teams, this tournament will provide loads of exciting
football matches, along with plenty of entertainment for the spectators.
The tournament will follow the regulations of FIFA and the Danish
Football Association and will be divided into one basic round
and one play-off.
Festival
The moment the participants arrive in Aarhus, they will know that
Football Festival® Denmark is a real football festival. There
will be music, shows, entertainment, Internet cafés, stalls
and booths along with many activities to make this event a very
special experience – for youngsters as well as adults.
The fields
The football tournament in Football Festival® Denmark
is played at over 10 great and well-cared-for greens at Grønløkke
Sporting Center in Tranbjerg J. in the southern Aarhus.
GIRLS
G17 Euro Championship
Football Festival® Denmark invites 12 top class teams from
Norway, Sweden, Germany, England, Poland, Finland, Czech Republic
and Denmark to participate in the unofficial European Championship
for girls G17's
The
championship will be played as a part of Football Festival®
Denmark and organized in cooperation with Danish Premier League
club IK Skovbakken.
"It is the first time that anyone tries to gather the most
talented young female players in the same tournament. The top
G17 teams often miss the chance of competing on an international
level”, says vice-president Jesper Raabo from FFD.
The
unnofficial EC for G17 is played as a closed class. All other
G17 teams will participate in the normal G17 Open class
